Council Elections 9th September 2017

Hi Everyone,

A quick reminder that it is "critical" for people in the Jindabyne Community to ensure they vote given it is hectic still with winter in business. And to encourage those around you in the community to vote. It should be noted that Jindabyne residents do not traditionally vote, but Cooma and Bombala turn out in force. This means we could end up with very little representation from our end of the Shire.

This link from Ian Campbell at About Regional given the Amalgamation is also relevant as it highlights some very important points and includes some links to video.

"There are a lot of demands on Council, and the role a Councillor is to have a strategic view, to set the tone, and to set the direction," ... "It's really important to engage effectively with the community." Quoting Leanne Atkinson an ex Councillor in Jindabyne from SRSC."
